HOUSTON, TX — This Summer the world of music will welcome triple music threat JosephWashington to the ranks of independent R&B artists with his debut album "When God Made A Woman." The CD is a smooth mix of love ballads written by the talented singer, songwriter and producer and will be released on the artists' independent music label Minds on Music Productions a division of Mother Bell Universal Entertainment (MBUE).

Though the exploitation of women in the entertainment industry has been an issue for years now, Washington makes it clear that this project is a testament to his utter love and respect for women. The LP is filled with romance, passion and appreciation. The title track “When God Made A Woman” expresses Washington’s love theory “God made every mans life complete when he made a woman, he says of the song and continues with his feelings on the album saying, “I want the listeners to enjoy the whole CD and struggle with the question of which song is my favorite.”

With the swamp of R&B artists that have crossed over almost completely to Hip-Hop, Washington’s music is sure to stand as a true testament to the R&B once known through the success of artists like the late Luther Vandross, Babyface, and Brian McKnight. What sets Washington apart from his peers in the entertainment world is that he has joined entertainment world first as a businessman and humanitarian and then moved into the musical spotlight.

He initially founded MBUE to produce a CD compilation on behalf of local charities such as the United Negro College Fund, giving them a percentage of the CD sales. After joining forces with long-time friends and now partners Akil Houston and Demetria Glover, the result has been a series of exciting business endeavors that go beyond the lines of music including a song writing/music production company, a fashion line, and a charitable foundation.

R&B fans, lovebirds, Corporate America, and community at large can expect big things from MBUE this year.
